Cover Mom Contest Rules


No Purchase is necessary. By entering, you give RaisingMaine.com permission to use your name and likeness for promotional purposes. Please see our privacy policy for detailed information. Once submitted, all entries become property of RaisingMaine.com and cannot be returned. All entries are subject to verification and may be rejected for any reason. The form must be complete in order to qualify to win. RaisingMaine.com is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, illegible or misdirected entries, or for any error, human, technical or otherwise, which may occur in the processing of entries. Participation in this contest constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these official rules. Contest begins February 1, 2009 and ends February 28, 2010. Only official online entry forms are eligible. Email addresses must be valid in order to be contacted as a potential winner. Consideration will only be given to moms who are registered members of RaisingMaine.com (go here to register). If the primary winner does not respond within 24 hours, an alternate winner will be chosen. Winners will be selected by contest officials at RaisingMaine.com. To be considered for this contest, users must create a member profile on RaisingMaine.com and upload a member image of themselves. Active members on the site -- through comments, blog, forum or photo posts -- will be considered stronger candidates to be considered. One winner will be selected each month and an official from RaisingMaine.com will contact the winner through email (the email you used to register on the site - be sure it's one you check regularly). Contestants must be a mother currently living in Maine and a registered user of RaisingMaine.com. RaisingMaine.com will choose one member each month. If the member can not accomodate the scheduling of the photo shoot after a reasonable selection of date options, another member will be chosen. RaisingMaine.com reserves the right not to use any images taken at a photo shoot and select another cover image. This decision is final. This selection cannot be redeemed for cash, substitution of prizes is prohibited and all prizes are non-transferable. Winners are responsible for local and state taxes, fees and similar payments if applicable. The prize winners are responsible for compliance with all conditions that may be set by the sponsors. RaisingMaine.com reserves the right to use the winners names, town residence, photos and entry materials for contest promotion without consideration. Employees of MaineToday Media, Inc., their agencies or representatives, their immediate families and members of their households are not eligible to enter. RaisingMaine.com shall not be liable or responsible for any loss or damage, delays, or failure to perform due to causes beyond reasonable control including, but not limited to, acts of God, employee strikes, epidemics, war, riots, earthquakes, flood, fire, sabotage or any other circumstances of like character. Decisions made by contest officials are final. Winners will be notified by e-mail. All will be notified the day they are selected as the winner. There will be no other notification. Winners will have 24 hours to respond. If a winner does not respond, and alternate will be chosen.

Privacy Policy
We respect the privacy of our users, and we assure you that sharing your e-mail address or other information with us will not lead to unwanted invasions of your privacy. We will not distribute your personal information to any third party, nor will we sell or redistribute our e-mail lists. We may occasionally send e-mail to our users, notifying them of new services we've added, but such e-mail will always include an option to be removed from our mailings. We analyze user information only in the aggregate, thus, your personal Internet habits are known to us only as part of a large group of users, and are never connected with your contact information.
