To Vaccinate or Not to Vaccinate?

So the Swine Flu Vaccine has arrived in Maine.
Are you Vaccinating your children? Yourself?
Are you scared?
Have you had the Swine Flu already?
All four of my kids were vaccinated tonight at the school in Falmouth.

Hoping my kids and grandkids will have access to the vaccine. They all want to get it, I think (not sure about my middle kid) but I would only get one if there are some left over, as I'm not in the high risk category. If there turns out to be leftovers, I will roll up the ol' sleeve over my "softening" Grandma arm :) Not scared of the vaccine. Don't like to get sick, either. Big Wimp here. Wishing good health to all!

My son has had both flu shots, my hubby and I have just had the regular, we would get the H1N1 if it becomes available. My daughter just got home from Europe and she needs to see her doctor to see if she can get either or both of them pronto!

Our boys have had both sets of flu shots now too. I am allergic to eggs, so not a candidate for either vaccine. I'm sure it is spreading via air travel. Our doctor's office has a section for those who have recently traveled.

No vaccinations here... they aren't available... and, no, not scared.

Sam and I have had seasonal shots so far. I'm not afraid of H1N1, I would just rather not be sick with it. My sister-in-law has had it and she survived. I have other family members who are going through it. We will get the rest of the shots when we can in our family.

Follow the family description if you can, but my brother's wife's sister has a child in the hospital in ICU, age 10 otherwise normally healthy, in Minnesota with H1N1. Fighting for his little life. Hearing that was the deciding factor for us, combined with the fact that our kiddos are prone to croup, pneumonia and flu complications each year.

My kids have received both vaccinations but I'm still waiting for mine... been taking lots of vitamin C and cooking with extra garlic :-)

i am not vaccinating myself or my kids. we have never had seasonal flu shots, and will not be receiving the h1n1 vaccine. i hope that everyone makes a fully informed choice, whatever they decide. consider checking out www.nvic.org. this site gives some information about vaccines that you may not find presented on the www.cdc.gov. we also take vitamin c and airborne, and, of course, practice singing "happy birthday" while handwashing frequently throughout the day.
