About Mylestones
I admit it, I'm "from away". And I was born south of the Mason-Dixon line to boot. So that's two strikes. But I hate the NY Yankees, and I swear I don't get dressed up to go to the grocery store, so I'm hoping y'all can forgive my Virginia roots. And my use of the word y'all. It'll be nothing but "you guys" from here on out, I promise.
I have two kids (2 yrs and 4 yrs) that completely knocked me off my feet, out of my high heels and into some serious house shoes. I spent a decade on the corporate hamster wheel in the DC area, where my left brain bullied my right brain into taking a back seat. And then we moved to Maine, and my right brain was all, "Look who's thinking NOW."
My right brain and I love it here. With more time to be with my kids (who provide ample inspiration and material), and a backdrop for daily life that couldn't be more beautiful, I'm realizing that y'all are onto something....Maine IS the way life should be. Oops, I said y'all again. Last time, I promise.
