Each month, Raising Maine and Bei Capelli give a Maine mom a much-needed new look. This month’s lucky mom is Bowdoin’s Lori MacDonald. Lori is a new mom and will be going back to work after maternity leave. Her husband, Jason, nominated her because, as a nurse, she is always taking care of others, and now as a mom she has less time for herself. “She has always worked the extra shift to help someone in need of some time off. I would like to give her a day to relax and feel like the queen she deserves to feel like,” Jason said. Raising Maine and Bei Capelli wanted to give Lori a stylish makeover that would suit her new lifestyle as a working mom. Bei Capelli stylist and co-owner Nancy Cartonio and stylist Ashleigh Cabana worked together to give Lori a new look that fits her life, whether she’s at work, home or play.
