We have a family 4-pack of tickets to to see Portland Ovation's production of "Stellaluna" at South Portland Auditorium on Dec. 5 at 11 a.m. or 1 p.m. The winning family will also receive a copy of the book, "Stellaluna."

Our daughter is a little tomboy and loved bats at Halloween, anytime she see's them she is fascinated. She also enjoys books a lot and cannot get enough of them, she will sit and read to herself (she's not quite two yet.) Our family loves to do things together but it is hard financially, so we improvise with mommy and daddy singing and dancing but I am sure she would love to see a real bat come to life.

When I mentioned Stellaluna my girls said "We love Stellaluna". They love to read and would enjoy the show.

We have some friends who contacted us about going. We would love to be able to join them. My girls and I have read the book, and we own the movie, but I think the stage production would be far more impressive than the movie. I would love to experience it with them. Being self employed, I never know where the next dollar is coming from or when. So, I always feel guilty doing anything extra. I would have no guilt and would truly be able to enjoy the experience with our family. thank you!

Oh my gosh...the photo makes ME want to see the performance...forget about the kids! Stellaluna is such a magical story and then, to see it brought to life...well, I think it will captivate not only my family but the entire audience.

Stellaluna is one of our favorite stories. It's one of the ones that I really don't mind reading 100 times!!! We haven't seen movie or show but I'm sure it will be fabulous. And if we won the book, I'd give that to my niece. It has such a beautiful lesson about friendship.

My 8 year old daughter is studying bats in school this year. Her teacher has been reading Stellaluna to the class and she adores the book. It would be fun for her to see the book acted out on stage.

The great thing about this book is that it shows that you can be friends with people (or creatures) who are different from you, that differences are not obstacles to friendship. We love all of Janell Cannon's books but Stellaluna is our favorite and seeing it on stage would be magical.

Kind of macabre, but we love bats. Especially in children's books. Stellaluna, Bats at the Beach, Bats in the Library. Something about the animals that take flight while children drift off to sleep. We'd love to see this bat come to life on stage.

I really want to go and see this. forget the kids I really want to go. I actually am looking to take my oldest daughter to something just the two of us. She has been having alot of troubles lately with not getting enough attention over my youngest, so I am trying to put together a day a week that is just me and her. But I want to surpirse her and take her to one of these shows.
