"When I go to bed, I always check on my three children to make sure that they are covered and comfortable. I just stand there sometimes and watch them for a few moments. It does not matter what kind of day we had, looking at them sleeping so peacefully is very calming to me. It helps wash away any frustration and gives me strength and renewed patience knowing that tomorrow is another day."
- Paula, 38, from South Berwick
"I love snuggling under a comfy comforter with my husband and watching a movie without interruptions!"
Meg, 44, from Gorham
"I love the fact that my parents are still there for me even though I'm an adult with kids of my own. They help me through the hard times and give me guidance even when I think I don't need it. No matter what poor choices I may make, they are right there, believing in me and loving me in spite of it all. I hope I'm that same kind of parent when my children are all grown up."
Nicole, 27, from Lebanon
"I love watching my almost 1-year-old daughter crinkle up her nose and laugh out loud at her big brothers and big sister."
Kerry, 39, from East Winthrop
"I love having my grandchildren visit, and even after they've left and gone home to North Carolina, I find little 'reminders' of them all over the house: paper clips made into little people, little houses shaped from colored construction paper and taped together, homemade itty bitty note pads made from paper scraps and stapled together with notes or papers on each page. I just love these little surprises I find as I'm putting the house back into one piece."
Kathy, 56, from Westbrook
"I love to hear my husband whistling. Many times, it has saved me steps when I wanted to check on what he was doing in his woodworking shop, heard his whistle, and didn't have to go all the way. Also, it is a reflection of his pleasant nature."
June, 71, from Turner
"I love fresh baked chocolate chip cookies with the morsels still gooey, all over the smiling face of my 6-year-old."
Ann, 44, from Harpswell
"Warm brownies and cold milk."
Cathy, 48, from Cumberland
"I love phone calls from my kids and grandkids no matter what the reason."
Judy, 69, from Lyman
"I tried www.diapers.com and love it. The prices are lower than in stores and it is delivered to my door. They carry diapers, baby food, formula, wipes, clothing and safety items. Saves me time and I can check off one more item off my list without taking the kids."
Katie, 35, from Cumberland
"When the weather grows colder, I love big Sunday morning breakfasts with my family. We feast on eggs or pancakes, listen to our favorite albums and hang out in our pajamas. There's nothing better."
Jennifer, 37, from Yarmouth
"What I love the most right now is attending my local MOPS group in Brunswick. I can get some much-needed mom time and know that my children are safe upstairs and having a ball. This group has helped me to grow into my role as a mother and has introduced me to many moms in the area. I'm glad to say that some of my closest friends are those I met through this group."
Kathleen, 32, from Durham
"Although Im not the biggest football fan, I love the return of fall football Sundays with a big vat of my favorite chicken chili."
Kristen, 39, from Scarborough

"When it comes down to really relaxing and chilling on a Saturday morning, I love to sit with my kids when they play PS2. It is fun and relaxing to share in that activity with them and ask questions and get excited over success with them."
Rebecca, 38, from Sabattus
"I love when my 4-year-old runs to me at preschool for a hug when I'm picking her up. It always melts my heart."
Laurie, 42, from Scarborough
I love the end of a work day when I can come home and kick up my very swollen feet and spend time with my husband. Whether we are watching the Red Sox or spending time getting our nursery together, it's knowing that while our life is about to change pretty drastically (with the birth of our first child), we are savoring the moments we have together right now."
Carrie, 27, from Buxton
"I love the changing of the seasons in Maine. I love anticipating crisp days, fresh-picked apples, slow-cooked Sunday dinners and the brilliant colors of a Maine fall."
Rana, 54, from Portland
"As the weather gets colder, I love sitting in front of the fire and snuggling on my couch with a new knitting project."
Kimberly, 38, from Otisfield
"The sound of my children's voices."
