Uploading Photos
Oct 1, 2008 04:23 AM 1 comment, below
Here are some tips on uploading photos to this site.
ADDING PHOTOS TO BLOG ENTRY
When you make a blog entry, you can choose to "post entry and add photos" to add photos directly to your blog (an album or a single photo). The screen will darken and a box will appear asking if you wan to "add a single photo" or "embed an album." If this box does NOT appear then simply click on the screen and save your blog entry. To add a photo to that blog entry go to "post photos", upload your photos and choose the title of the blog entry you want to associate your photos with in the "Embed album in blog entry?" box.
SINGLE PHOTO UPLOAD
If you choose to upload a SINGLE photo be careful when you copy and paste the code for your single photo upload in to your blog entry. If you miss a bracket (<), that will break the image code and your photo will not appear. You can upload as many single photos as you'd like for your blog entry, just upload each photo and paste each photo's code in to the blog entry.
PHOTO WON'T UPLOAD and/or CAN'T SEE PHOTO
Check your photo's file name. You can NOT use apostrophes or spaces in photo file name. Also, keep your file names to less than 10 characters. Longer than that might cause the system problems.
Another issue with uploading photos to the site is that sometimes images larger than 1MB may cause the server to time-out. If you are trying to upload several photos larger than 1MB, this is likely to happen. To avoid this issue, check out download.com for freeware to resize your images (Fast Stone is pretty easy to use) so they are smaller.
ADDING TAGS TO YOUR PHOTO ALBUM
To add a tag to your photo album, look for the TAG box on the Photo a Photo Album page OR if you've already created the album and forgot to add your tag, on the EDIT photo album page (choose EDIT on the album you want to add your tag).

If you have trouble with uploading your photos and the above tips aren't helping you, post a comment below and I'll try to troubleshoot the issue for you.

Hi Wendy, I changed my profile image, but it doesn' t seem to be using it when I post a new comment. Also, should it automatically go back and change all my other images beside my comments like Facebook does? Or will my old comments still show the old picture?
